We have been open now for three years. Wow!

It’s such a pleasure every day to see and hear happy dogs and their owners enjoying the huge 5 acre space in the Packington Park.

We love it when you share your stories, photos and magical moments at the park, such as through facebook, google reviews, text, email or in person.

It’s such a wide variety of needs and reasons you all share the space.

We hear from people who use the space due to:

• Owning multiple dogs

• Own dogs that need space

• Having old and fragile dogs (That just want to roam free without worry)

• Blind and deaf dogs (The owner wants to roam free without worry)

• Crazy reactive and/or sensitive dogs

• Rescued / Re-homed / Fostered dogs that need to build relationships

• Puppies and their siblings (Meet ups and play)

The list goes on.

We are so grateful to each and everyone of you for getting out there, spending time with the most loving, energetic, and giving members of your family; the faithful dog(s).

Where would we all be without them and their unconditional love?

WILD-WOOD Progress.

In July we bit the bullet and decided another park, different but equal in its ability to stimulate and enrich the life of you and your dogs, was an option.

We found an area a few miles away from Packington which, with a great deal of hard work, would be suitable for DGSWP Number 2!

This 8-10 acre virgin forest is just magical!

Situated in the middle of 300 acres of forest in private land, with great vehicular access away from main roads, we can’t wait to open the gates and share the beauty it has in store for you all.

We are almost there.

We say almost, we’re maybe 80% of the way.

As a one man team, whilst Sarah has run her own businesses, worked as a teacher, walked, trained and cared for our own 5 dogs (including a puppy OMG!), I have fought and struggled against nature.

I won’t say I won, it’s more like nature and I came to an understanding. 8-)

Ploughing through the most dense of habitat, in all weathers on my days off as an intensive care nurse, has been tough!

The only thing that’s kept me going, is imagining you all there, mouths open, chins dropped as you look around at the beauty of it all!

Your dogs will disappear into the most naturally wild and stimulating dog park ever to be made! (Maybe not, but it will be in the ball park, I promise!)

Some questions we have had:

• Is there going to be an enclosed car park?

  • Yes! There will be a gravelled space for 5-6 vehicles. There is a gate which can be closed behind you after you park, so you can let the dog(s) out without worry. It’s also well away from any roads.

• Can I use my coupon codes (for subscriptions/packages) at both parks?

  • Yes! Anyone who uses our subscription service or buys a package can book their slots at either park.

• How will we find this magical place?

  • Just as we do for new clients, in the first welcome text we send with the padlock code, there will be sat nav links direct to the car park.

• When will it open?

  • We will only be sharing the exact opening date here in an up and coming newsletter, but it will be in the beginning of the new year.
