WILD-WOODS - Have your say!

Lots of people are asking for updates on the new 8 Acre WILD-WOODS in New Coleorton Forest, which is great!

We only update here in the newsletter.

Staying subscribed will ensure you get the latest information on developments, including opening date and subscriber discounts for the first month!

• There’s about 350m left of perimeter fencing left to erect

• 20 more tonnes of gravel needed for the car park

• Steps and ramp for the bridge still to make (Yes I made a bridge! B-)

• Some minor path clearing to do

• Signage, CCTV cameras and direction arrows to fit

This park is VERY different to the Packington Meadow.

It really is WILD. Our aim is to leave as much as possible completely natural.

This means we’re not spreading gravel paths, we’re keeping it soft, mossy, leaf covered and full of earthy smells to invigorate all the dog’s noses.

As you enter the gate, letting the dogs run free, they will quickly be out of sight (Having the time of their lives!)

Some jovial comments have been:

• “I’ll never see them again!”

• “I’m not sure I’ll be able to recall mine”

• “My dogs are going to go bonkers!”

Knowing dogs, and having five of our own Collies, who love nothing more than trying to get a Squirrel Trophy, we get it.

Even those dogs with awesome recalls, at times, are going to lose their marbles in the woods.
